Flight Simulator
A flight simulator is a device that artificially recreates aircraft flight and the environment in which it flies, for pilot training, design, or other purposes. Flight simulators can range from computer-based software programs to full-motion simulators with hydraulic systems that move the cockpit and simulate the sensation of flight. They are used to train pilots in normal and emergency procedures, to test aircraft designs and systems, and to research human factors in aviation. Flight simulators can simulate different types of aircraft, weather conditions, and airport environments, and can provide a safe and cost-effective way to train pilots and test aircraft without risking human lives or expensive equipment.
