Fuel Fires
Fuel fires are fires that occur due to the ignition of fuel or fuel vapors. In aviation, fuel fires can occur in the fuel tanks, fuel lines, or engines of an aircraft. Fuel fires can be caused by a variety of factors, including electrical sparks, lightning strikes, or hot surfaces. Fuel fires can be extremely dangerous and can lead to catastrophic accidents. To prevent fuel fires, aircraft are equipped with various safety features, such as fuel tank inerting systems, fire detection and suppression systems, and fuel shutoff valves.
