General Aviation Pilot
A General aviation pilot is an individual who holds a private pilot license or a commercial pilot license and operates small aircraft for personal or business purposes. General aviation pilots fly a wide range of aircraft, including single-engine piston planes, helicopters, and light jets. They are responsible for pre-flight planning, aircraft inspections, and ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy. General aviation pilots must also comply with all Federal aviation administration (FAA) regulations and maintain their pilot proficiency through regular flight training. They may fly for pleasure, transportation, or as part of their job duties, such as aerial photography, surveying, or emergency medical services.
