Go-Around Maneuver

A go-around maneuver, also known as a missed approach, is a standard procedure performed by pilots when an approach to land is deemed unsafe or the landing cannot be completed. This can occur due to various reasons such as poor visibility, runway incursion, or an aircraft on the runway. During a go-around maneuver, the pilot increases engine power, retracts flaps, and climbs the aircraft to a safe altitude to re-attempt the approach or divert to an alternate airport. The decision to perform a go-around maneuver can be made by either the pilot or air traffic control.
