Gravel Kit

A gravel kit is an optional aircraft accessory that can be installed on certain aircraft to protect the engines and other critical components from damage caused by ingesting debris such as rocks, sand, and gravel during takeoff and landing on unpaved runways. The kit typically includes a reinforced belly skin, deflectors, and screens to prevent debris from entering the engine intakes and other openings.
