Dry Operating Weight

Dry Operating Weight (DOW) is the weight of an aircraft including all fixed equipment, unusable fuel, and other items of operating equipment that are considered to be part of the empty weight of the aircraft. It excludes all passengers, cargo, usable fuel, and other removable items. DOW is an important parameter for aircraft performance calculations, as it affects the aircraft's fuel consumption, range, and payload capacity. It is also used for determining the aircraft's center of gravity and for calculating takeoff and landing performance.
