Greenwich Mean Time

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the mean solar time at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, which is used as a standard time reference for the world. It is the time zone that is used as a basis for all other time zones. GMT is also known as Universal Time (UT) or Zulu Time (Z), and is used in aviation to coordinate flight plans and air traffic control.
