Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation or forced labor. In the aviation context, human trafficking often involves the transportation of victims across borders or within countries using commercial airlines. Traffickers may use fraudulent documents or coercion to transport victims, who may be unaware of their final destination or the nature of the work they will be forced to perform. Airlines and aviation authorities have a responsibility to identify and report suspected cases of human trafficking, and to train staff to recognize the signs of trafficking and respond appropriately.
