Jet Engines
Jet engines are a type of propulsion system used in aviation that generate thrust by expelling a high-velocity jet of exhaust gases. These engines work on the principle of Newton's third law of motion, which states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Jet engines consist of several components, including a compressor, combustion chamber, and turbine. The compressor draws in air, which is then mixed with fuel and ignited in the combustion chamber. The resulting hot gases expand and are expelled through the turbine, which drives the compressor and generates thrust. Jet engines are commonly used in commercial and military aircraft, as well as in some smaller general aviation aircraft.
