Ku-band

Ku-band is a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the microwave range of frequencies. In aviation, Ku-band is used for satellite communication systems that provide in-flight connectivity for passengers and crew. Ku-band satellite systems offer high-speed internet, live television, and voice communication services to aircraft in flight. The Ku-band frequency range is 12-18 GHz, which allows for high bandwidth data transfer rates.
