Liquid Crystal Display

A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is a flat panel display technology that uses liquid crystals to produce images. In aviation, LCDs are commonly used in cockpit displays, such as the Primary flight display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD), as well as in cabin entertainment systems. LCDs offer several advantages over traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) displays, including lower power consumption, lighter weight, and better image quality. However, they can be susceptible to temperature extremes and have limited viewing angles.
