Magneto
Magneto is a device that generates electrical energy to ignite the fuel-air mixture in the cylinders of an internal combustion engine. In aviation, magnetos are used to provide the spark that ignites the fuel in the engine's cylinders. Most aircraft have two magnetos, each with its own set of spark plugs, to provide redundancy in case one fails. The magnetos are driven by the engine and produce a high voltage that is sent to the spark plugs to ignite the fuel. They are a critical component of the aircraft's ignition system and are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure proper operation.
