Microprisms

Microprisms are small, cube-shaped optical elements that are used in aviation to improve the visibility of aircraft markings and lights. They are typically made of glass or plastic and have a special coating that reflects light in a specific direction. Microprisms are often embedded in aircraft paint or applied as a separate film to the surface of the aircraft. When light hits the microprisms, it is reflected back in a concentrated beam, making the markings and lights appear brighter and more visible from a distance. This is especially important for aircraft that operate in low light conditions or in areas with poor visibility.
