Markings
In aviation, markings refer to the various painted symbols, signs, and lines on the surface of an airport, runway, taxiway, or aircraft. These markings are used to provide pilots with important information such as the location of runways, taxiways, and parking areas, as well as to indicate areas that are off-limits or hazardous. Markings on an aircraft include registration numbers, warning signs, and emergency exit locations. The color, size, and shape of markings are standardized by the International civil aviation organization (ICAO) to ensure consistency and safety across all airports and aircraft.
