Navigation Aid

A navigation aid is any sort of device or system used by pilots to navigate through the air. Navigation aids can be visual, such as landmarks or beacons, or they can be electronic, such as radio beacons or GPS. These aids help pilots to determine their position, track their course, and avoid obstacles. They are especially important in low visibility conditions, such as fog or clouds, where visual navigation is impossible. Navigation aids are an essential part of modern aviation, and they have greatly improved the safety and efficiency of air travel.
