Navigation Lights

Navigation Lights are lights fitted on aircraft to aid in navigation and to alert other pilots and ground personnel of the aircraft's position and movement. These lights include red and green lights on the wingtips, a white light on the tail, and sometimes additional lights on the fuselage. The red light is always on the left wingtip and the green light is always on the right wingtip, and they help other pilots determine the direction the aircraft is flying. The white light on the tail helps other pilots determine the aircraft's position and movement. Navigation lights are required to be turned on during all phases of flight, from taxiing to landing.
