Taxiing
Taxiing is the movement of an aircraft on the ground under its own power, excluding takeoff and landing. It is the process of moving an aircraft from one point to another on the ground, usually under the direction of ground personnel or the pilot. During taxiing, the pilot must follow specific taxi routes and instructions provided by air traffic control or ground personnel to avoid collisions with other aircraft, vehicles, or obstacles. The speed of taxiing is generally limited to a maximum of 30 knots or as instructed by the airport authority. The aircraft's engines, brakes, and steering systems are used to control the speed and direction of the aircraft during taxiing.
