Non-Technical Competencies
Non-Technical Competencies refer to the skills, knowledge, and abilities that are not directly related to the technical aspects of aviation, but are essential for safe and efficient operation of aircraft. These competencies include but are not limited to communication, teamwork, situational awareness, decision-making, leadership, and stress management. Non-Technical Competencies are critical for pilots, air traffic controllers, maintenance personnel, and other aviation professionals to effectively manage complex and dynamic situations, and to prevent errors and accidents. Training and assessment of Non-Technical Competencies are becoming increasingly important in aviation industry to enhance safety and performance.
