Safety Reporting
Safety Reporting is the process of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating safety-related information to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop and implement effective safety measures in aviation. Safety reporting includes mandatory reporting of incidents, accidents, and other safety-related occurrences by pilots, air traffic controllers, maintenance personnel, and other aviation professionals. Voluntary reporting systems, such as Aviation Safety reporting System (ASRS), are also used to encourage the reporting of safety-related events and near-misses. Safety reporting is an essential component of Safety management system (SMS) and helps to improve safety performance and prevent accidents in aviation.
