Seam

In aviation, a seam refers to the junction where two or more pieces of material are joined together. Seams are commonly found in aircraft upholstery, seat covers, and other interior components. The quality of a seam is important for both aesthetic and safety reasons. Poorly constructed seams can lead to discomfort for passengers and can also compromise the integrity of the material, potentially leading to tears or other damage. In addition, seams in critical areas such as those found in the fuselage or wings must be carefully designed and constructed to ensure the safety of the aircraft.
