Spaceflight
Spaceflight is the act of travelling into or through space. It is achieved by launching a spacecraft, which is a vehicle or machine designed to fly in outer space. Spaceflight can be manned or unmanned, and can be used for a variety of purposes such as scientific research, exploration, communication, and military surveillance. The history of spaceflight began with the launch of the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, by the Soviet Union in 1957. Since then, many countries have developed their own space programs and sent spacecraft to explore the solar system and beyond.
