Terrain Hazards
Terrain Hazards refer to any natural or man-made features of the terrain that can pose a threat to aviation safety. These hazards can include mountains, hills, valleys, ridges, canyons, cliffs, towers, trees, power lines, buildings, and other obstacles that can obstruct the flight path of an aircraft or cause turbulence. Terrain Hazards can also include weather-related hazards such as icing, turbulence, wind shear, and thunderstorms that can be associated with certain types of terrain. Pilots must be aware of these hazards and take appropriate measures to avoid them, such as using terrain avoidance systems, maintaining a safe altitude, and adjusting their flight path to avoid hazardous terrain.
