Transient Voltage Suppressors
Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are electronic devices designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage spikes and surges. In aviation, TVS are commonly used to protect avionics equipment from voltage transients that can occur during lightning strikes, power surges, or electromagnetic interference. TVS work by clamping the voltage to a safe level and diverting the excess current away from the protected equipment.
