Turboprop Engines

Turboprop engines are a type of gas turbine engine used in aircraft propulsion. They are similar to turbojet engines, but instead of using the exhaust gases to directly produce thrust, they drive a propeller. The engine consists of a compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, and gearbox. The compressor draws in air, compresses it, and mixes it with fuel in the combustion chamber. The resulting hot gases expand through the turbine, which drives the propeller through the gearbox. Turboprop engines are efficient at lower altitudes and speeds, making them ideal for regional and short-haul flights. They are also quieter and produce less emissions than turbojet engines.
