Ultrasonic Inspections

Ultrasonic inspections are a non-destructive testing method used in aviation to detect internal defects or anomalies in aircraft structures, components, and engines. This method uses high-frequency sound waves that are transmitted through the material being inspected. The sound waves are reflected back to a receiver and analyzed to determine the presence, location, and size of any defects. Ultrasonic inspections are commonly used to detect cracks, corrosion, and other forms of damage that may not be visible to the naked eye. This method is highly accurate and can be used on a variety of materials, including metals, composites, and plastics.
