VFR Weather Minimums
VFR (Visual Flight Rules) Weather Minimums refer to the minimum weather conditions required for a pilot to operate an aircraft under VFR. These minimums vary depending on the airspace, altitude, and type of aircraft being flown. In general, the minimums require a certain amount of visibility and distance from clouds. For example, in Class g airspace, pilots must maintain at least 1 statute mile of visibility and remain clear of clouds. However, in Class B airspace, pilots must maintain 3 statute miles of visibility and remain 1,000 feet above, 500 feet below, and 2,000 feet horizontally from clouds.
