Wind Tunnel Testing

Wind tunnel testing is a method used in aviation to study the effects of air moving past solid objects, such as aircraft, engines, or other components. The testing is conducted in a wind tunnel, which is a closed, tubular structure that contains a fan or other device to create air flow. Models of the object being tested are placed in the wind tunnel and subjected to various wind speeds and angles of attack. The data collected from wind tunnel testing is used to improve the design and performance of aircraft and their components, as well as to study the effects of air flow on other structures and objects.
