Airframe And Powerplant

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) refers to the certification process for mechanics who perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft. The certification is issued by the Federal aviation administration (FAA) in the United States and is recognized internationally. An A&P mechanic is authorized to work on the airframe (the structure of the aircraft) and the powerplant (the engines and other propulsion systems). This includes tasks such as replacing parts, repairing damage, and performing routine inspections. A&P mechanics are required to complete a rigorous training program and pass a series of exams to obtain their certification.
