Aisle Width

Aisle width refers to the distance between the armrests of seats in an aircraft cabin. It is an important factor in determining the overall comfort and safety of passengers during an emergency evacuation. The aisle width must be wide enough to allow passengers to quickly and safely exit the aircraft in the event of an emergency. The Federal aviation administration (FAA) has established minimum aisle width requirements for different types of aircraft, based on factors such as the number of seats and the cabin configuration. These requirements are designed to ensure that passengers can evacuate the aircraft within a specified time frame, even in low-light or smoke-filled conditions.
