Anhedral
Anhedral is a term used to describe the downward angle of an aircraft's wings relative to the horizontal plane. This is the opposite of dihedral, which describes an upward angle. Anhedral wings are typically found on aircraft that require high maneuverability, such as fighter jets. The downward angle of the wings helps to increase roll rate and improve stability at high angles of attack. However, anhedral wings can also make an aircraft more difficult to control in certain situations, such as during crosswinds or when flying at low speeds. Pilots must be trained to handle the unique characteristics of aircraft with anhedral wings.
