Apron
In aviation, an apron is a designated area of an airport where aircraft can be parked, unloaded or loaded, refueled, or boarded. It is usually located adjacent to the terminal building and may be paved or unpaved. The apron is also used for aircraft maintenance, cleaning, and other ground handling activities. It is a critical area of the airport where ground vehicles and personnel operate in close proximity to aircraft, and safety is of utmost importance. The apron is typically controlled by the airport authority or ground handling company, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
