Tread Patterns

In aviation, tread patterns refer to the design of the tires used on aircraft. The tread pattern is important for providing traction and grip on the runway during takeoff and landing, as well as for steering and braking on the ground. Tread patterns can vary depending on the type of aircraft and the conditions in which it will be operating. For example, aircraft that operate on wet or icy runways may require a more aggressive tread pattern to prevent hydroplaning or slipping. Tread patterns can also affect the noise level generated by the aircraft during takeoff and landing.
