Carbon-neutral Growth
Carbon-neutral growth refers to the concept of achieving a balance between carbon emissions and carbon removal. In the aviation industry, carbon-neutral growth is a goal set by the International civil aviation organization (ICAO) to cap the net carbon emissions from international aviation at 2020 levels, through the use of sustainable aviation fuels, improved aircraft technology, and operational improvements. The aim is to achieve carbon-neutral growth from 2020 onwards, despite the expected increase in air traffic. This is an important step towards reducing the aviation industry's impact on climate change.
