Codeshare Agreement

A codeshare agreement is a commercial agreement between two airlines that allows one airline to put its two-letter identification code on flights operated by the other airline, and sell tickets for those flights as if they were its own. This allows airlines to expand their network and offer more destinations to their customers without having to operate the flights themselves. The airlines involved in a codeshare agreement typically share revenue from the ticket sales, and may also share costs and resources such as airport lounges and ground handling services.
