Ditching

Ditching is an emergency landing of an aircraft on water. It is a controlled crash landing on water bodies such as oceans, seas, lakes, or rivers. Ditching can be caused by various factors such as engine failure, fuel exhaustion, or other technical problems. Pilots are trained to perform ditching procedures in case of an emergency. The procedure involves reducing the speed of the aircraft, deploying the life rafts, and evacuating the passengers and crew. Ditching can be dangerous and can result in injuries or fatalities, but it can also save lives in case of an emergency situation where there are no other options available.
