Dry Chemical Agents
Dry Chemical Agents are powders that are used as fire extinguishing agents in aviation. These agents work by interrupting the chemical chain reaction of the fire, thus extinguishing it. They are effective on Class A, B, and C fires, which involve ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids and gases, and electrical equipment. Dry Chemical Agents are commonly used in aircraft fire extinguishers and are preferred over other types of extinguishing agents due to their ability to quickly extinguish fires and their low cost. However, they can leave a residue that may cause damage to sensitive electronic equipment and can be harmful to humans if inhaled.
