Stabilator
A stabilator is a type of aircraft control surface that combines the functions of an elevator and a horizontal stabilizer. It is a one-piece horizontal tail surface that pivots around its front edge to control the pitch of an aircraft. The stabilator moves up and down to control the aircraft's pitch, and it also provides stability around the lateral axis. Stabilators are commonly used on small aircraft, such as general aviation planes and some military aircraft. They are often used in place of separate elevators and horizontal stabilizers, as they are simpler to manufacture and require less maintenance.
