The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is an agency of the European Union (EU) with responsibility for civil aviation safety. It carries out certification, regulation, and standardization, and also performs investigation and monitoring functions to ensure the highest safety standards are met in the European aviation industry. EASA works closely with national aviation authorities and industry stakeholders to develop and implement regulations and standards that promote safety and environmental protection in all areas of aviation, including design, production, maintenance, and operation of aircraft and related equipment.
