European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC)

The European Civil aviation Conference (ECAC) is an intergovernmental organization that promotes the continued development of a safe, efficient, and sustainable European air transport system. Established in 1955, ECAC works to harmonize civil aviation policies and practices among its 44 member states, which include countries from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. ECAC also provides a forum for member states to discuss and coordinate on issues related to air traffic management, aviation security, environmental protection, and consumer protection. The organization works closely with other international aviation bodies, such as the International civil aviation organization (ICAO) and the European Union Aviation safety Agency (EASA).
