Undercarriage

Undercarriage, also known as landing gear, is a crucial component of an aircraft that supports the weight of the aircraft during takeoff, landing, and while on the ground. It typically consists of wheels, struts, and shock absorbers that retract into the aircraft during flight to reduce drag. The undercarriage is designed to withstand the high stresses of takeoff and landing, and is equipped with brakes to slow down the aircraft after landing. In addition to supporting the aircraft, the undercarriage also provides stability and control during taxiing and ground operations.
