FAA Certification
FAA Certification is the process by which the Federal aviation administration (FAA) determines that an aircraft, aircraft engine, or aircraft part meets the minimum safety standards necessary for operation in the United States. The FAA Certification process involves extensive testing and evaluation of the product's design, manufacture, and performance, as well as compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The FAA issues a type certificate or supplemental type certificate (STC) to the manufacturer once the product has been certified. This certification is required for all aircraft, engines, and parts that are used in commercial aviation in the United States.
