First Officer
First Officer, also known as co-pilot, is the second-in-command of an aircraft. The First Officer's primary responsibility is to assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. They are responsible for monitoring the instruments, communicating with air traffic control, and performing various tasks during the flight. In the event of an emergency, the First Officer is trained to take over the controls and safely land the aircraft. The First Officer is required to hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and have extensive flight experience. They work closely with the Captain to ensure that all flight procedures are followed and that the flight is conducted safely and efficiently.
