Harness
In aviation, a harness refers to a set of straps and fittings that secure a pilot or a crew member to their seat or to the aircraft structure. The harness is an essential safety equipment that prevents the crew from being ejected from the aircraft during high-G maneuvers, turbulence, or in case of an accident. The harness typically includes shoulder straps, lap belts, and leg straps, and it may also have a chest strap or a parachute harness. The harness must be properly adjusted and fastened before takeoff and landing, and it must be worn at all times during flight. Failure to wear the harness or to secure it properly can result in serious injury or death in case of an accident.
