Hovercraft

A hovercraft, also known as an air-cushion vehicle (ACV), is a type of vehicle that can travel over land, water, mud, ice, and other surfaces. It operates by creating a cushion of high-pressure air between the vehicle and the surface below it, which reduces friction and allows it to move smoothly. The air cushion is generated by fans or propellers, and the vehicle is propelled forward by an engine or engines. Hovercraft are used for a variety of purposes, including military operations, search and rescue missions, and transportation of people and goods.
