Incandescent

In aviation, incandescent refers to a type of lighting that produces light by heating a filament until it glows. Incandescent lighting is commonly used in aircraft for interior lighting, instrument panel lighting, and exterior lighting such as landing lights and anti-collision lights. Incandescent bulbs are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace, but they are less energy-efficient and have a shorter lifespan compared to other types of lighting such as LED and fluorescent lighting. Despite this, incandescent lighting remains popular in aviation due to its reliability and ability to produce a warm, natural-looking light that is easy on the eyes.
