Indemnification Clause
An indemnification clause is a provision in a contract that requires one party to compensate the other party for any losses or damages that may arise from the contract. In aviation, indemnification clauses are commonly found in contracts between airlines and their suppliers, such as aircraft manufacturers or maintenance providers. These clauses protect the airline from liability in case of accidents or incidents caused by the supplier's negligence or faulty products. The supplier agrees to indemnify the airline and cover any costs associated with legal claims or damages resulting from the incident.
