International Morse Code
International Morse Code is a system of communication that uses a series of dots, dashes, and spaces to represent letters, numbers, and punctuation. It is named after Samuel Morse, one of the inventors of the telegraph. In aviation, Morse Code is used as a backup communication method in case of radio failure. Pilots are required to know how to send and receive Morse Code messages, and it is still used in some navigational aids such as VORs (VHF Omnidirectional Range). Morse Code is also used in emergency situations to transmit distress signals such as SOS (three dots, three dashes, three dots).
