Passenger Boarding Gate
A passenger boarding gate is a designated area of an airport terminal where passengers can board their flight. It is usually equipped with seating areas, flight information displays, and boarding desks. The gate is identified by a number or letter, which is displayed on the boarding pass and on airport screens. Passengers are required to present their boarding pass and travel documents to the gate agent before boarding the aircraft. The gate agent checks the boarding pass, verifies the passenger's identity, and scans the boarding pass to record the passenger's boarding. Once the boarding process is complete, the gate is closed and the aircraft is pushed back from the gate.
