Involuntary Denied Boarding
Involuntary Denied boarding is a situation where an airline has to deny a passenger boarding on a flight, even though the passenger has a valid ticket and has checked in on time, due to overbooking or other operational reasons. In such cases, the airline is required to compensate the passenger and provide alternate arrangements for travel. The compensation amount varies depending on the length of delay and the distance of the flight. The airline is also required to provide the passenger with a written statement explaining their rights and the reason for being denied boarding.
