Microwave Landing Systems (MLS)

Microwave Landing System (MLS) is a highly accurate, all-weather, precision radio guidance system that provides pilots with vertical and horizontal guidance during approach and landing. It uses microwave signals to determine an aircraft's position relative to the runway, and provides pilots with real-time guidance to help them land safely in low visibility conditions. MLS is capable of providing guidance for a wide range of aircraft, from small general aviation planes to large commercial airliners. It is considered to be a more advanced and reliable landing system than traditional Instrument Landing Systems (ILS).
